Introduction
The latest Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into effect on 25th May 2018 under EU regulation 2016/679. These regulations expand the rights of businesses and individuals to control and access their personal information, how it is collected and processed by either “controllers” or “processors,” and make organizations more accountable for the security and management of information.
Our Role
At Clutch On Wheels, we are classified as “processors” of information under GDPR. We are obligated to inform you of the reasons we hold information and give you, “the customer,” the right to request that your information be deleted from our database with confirmation of its completion.
Information We Retain
We retain the following information on each account for the purposes of invoicing, warranty tracking, and potential product recall notices that may be issued to us from OEMs or parts manufacturers/suppliers:
- Contact Name
- Contact Address
- Relevant Business Addresses
- Contact Phone Number
- Vehicle details including Make, Model, Registration, or VIN
- Email address (where available)
- Financial details for business account invoicing
- Home address details for individual invoicing (where applicable)
No Promotional Contact
We currently do not contact any of our customers for promotional or event activities. If this situation changes, be assured that your information will not be used for such communication unless you are specifically asked and provide consent either electronically or in writing.
Data Sharing
The information we retain is not shared with any organizations outside of Clutch On Wheels unless permission is requested and granted by you for the completion of contracted services between you and Clutch On Wheels.
